Shirts
Among the most skilled shirtmakers in the US, Bernard Gantmacher started our story in 1949 on the American East Coast. Today, a GANT shirt still stands as a timeless wardrobe staple that can be worn and loved for seasons, and years, to come.
The back-collar button, locker loop, and box pleat — three iconic inventions by GANT. A button to keep the collar and tie in place, a loop to keep shirts wrinkle-free while hanging in college locker rooms, and a pleat to move more freely.
The Oxford shirts
First woven by a Scottish mill in the 1800s, the Oxford shirt takes its name from the cloth with which it’s made. Lightweight, airy, and hard-wearing, the GANT Oxford shirt is our hero preppy piece.
