The coloration project

Since the Oxford Color Explosion in the 1950s, the use of vibrant color in our clothes has been an important part of our heritage. Now, to transform our color production into a more sustainable one, we’re launching an entirely new process that will grow and evolve over time: The Coloration Project. As part of our Ocean Prep initiative, The Coloration Project is a smarter, more sustainable way of applying color textiles, saving 98% of water during the coloration process compared to traditional methods.

We’ve always had a natural affinity for water, from our birthplace on America’s East Coast, so embracing coloration innovation in order to protect our freshwater supply by reducing water usage is a key tenet of our sustainability commitment.
